159/365

Today is a packing day. I fit everything I need for 2 months into a big suitcase, a carry on suitcase, and a backpack. It was hard!

p.s. this probably will be my last post for a while, probably for the rest of the summer. just so ya'll know

Yesterday I went to the Taco Bell on the beach in Linda Mar with Jenny, LeAnne, and Audrey. We had fun, but got so much food! I ate two tacos and a burrito, which was a lot for me, but Jenny and LeAnne got 5 tacos and 5 burritos. crazy! oh and we all shared a mini cheesecake variety pack thing. It was so good!

Sunday we went to the Visalia corps which started at 12:30. I really liked that because we could sleep in late and there was no rush to get ready and everything. After church we headed back home, where Pacifica greeted us with gray skies, fog, mist, and 50 degree weather. Oh well, at least I got to enjoy my summer 90 degree weather for the whole weekend.

Saturday morning I walked around camp while everyone was still waking up. I love waking up early at any camp and just walking around enjoying the morning sun, hearing the birds chirping and taking in the beauty of it all. While I was walking around I found some flowers coming out of a fence that were hit with just a little bit of sunlight. They were beautiful.

Mid-morning my family drove to Visalia which is about 4(ish) hours away.We were in the car most of the day, but we did stop in Gilroy to go to The Salvation Army thrift store, where Lauren got some awesome shoes! Then we went out to dinner with my aunt and cousins, then spent the night in a hotel that had the most amazing comforters ever!

Here we go, I'm updating...
On Friday my family and I took a little trip down to Santa Cruz for my last college tour. I loved the campus. It was beautiful and spacious and I felt like I was at a camp conference center or something. It was cool because it was kind of out in the farm lands, but the campus was kind of in the forest, but you also had a great view of the ocean. It was great!
Then we spent the night at camp. Where me, Lauren, Claire and Taylor walked along the creek and almost swam in it.
I don't know why but I really like this picture. It's nothing special though.

154/365 "We all have our things..."

Aw The Rocket Summer. How I love The Rocket Summer. This phrase if from the song 'Do you Feel' which is one of my favorites. I love the song, and the music video, and Bryce Avary. And maybe I love the music video a little bit more because I think I spotted Matthew Thiessen in it... maybe.
I know they didn't use signs in this video, but it's still the same idea.

Do you feel the weight of the world singing sorrow?
Or do you, is it just not real?
Cause you got your own things
Yeah, we all have our things I guess
Once again I love The Rocket Summer. So please listen. watch. love. buy.

p.s. I stayed in my pj's all day, what a great day it has been

153/365 "What is love?"

This is a song by Nevershoutnever. This past year I have started liking him and listening to him more, but you see, his voice is very different... very different, and I can see how a lot of people wouldn't like it or would think it's annoying. But I like his stuff and his style, so at your own risk, I think you should watch this video. It's cool. And his tattoos are awesome. =)
What is love?
What is love?
Oh, oh oh oh-oh-oh

Some things that are love to me:
-playing piano
-Camp Arnold
-photography
-music (my ipod)
-my friends and family
-converse
-journaling
-God
-paper cranes
-my cd's
-my bed
-and my homemade bag
... just to name a few

152/365 "I want someone to love me for who I am" JUST ME

Since I moved here I've become very interested in music videos. Of course I like the music and watching the artists sing them, but I've started really loving the different ways people make them. Like what people and objects they include and just the overall artistic side of most of them. After I started watching more and more videos (mostly on saturdays during VH1's top 20 countdown), I started to notice a similarity between a few. It seemed like a lot of them incorporated holding up signs that went along with what they were saying. Either the artists did themselves, or other people were including in holding their own signs. And for some reason all of these really interested me. I've wanted to take a few of the ideas and use them for pictures since 365 started but I just never got around to it. So for a few days this week I'm going to do just that.
So today's picture is taken from Nick Jonas' video "Who I Am". He hold up this sign at the very end of the video. watch it. love it. buy it.

I want someone to love me
For who I am
I want someone to need me
Is that so bad?
...
Are you gonna love me
for who I am?
