I'm done!! Although I missed quite a few days this past year, I would say I documented 2010 pretty well. Let's hope 2011 is way better!

Today is my second to last day of this project. sad.
Anyways... yesterday I did a couple thrift stores runs, and I must say that I got one of my best finds yet. A hardly used REI jacket that is rainproof, which is exactly what I have been looking for. And the best part (besides it being hardly used)... is that it was marked as $4.99, but it was 50% off day, so it only cost $2.99. I would say that's a pretty darn good deal. And I love it. It's perfect for rain or snow which is perfect for where I am going this week.

I got my permit yesterday!!
Finally, after a year and a half of living in California, I can finally drive!
My permit's not as pretty or fancy as my Washington one, but at least it's a permit!

today was "organize all your piano music" day. It took me a while, but it's all organized and neatly placed on top of the piano. This was during the process.

Stephanie and I got these jars full of jewelry at the thrift store. Each jar was only $2.25 with the whole thing filled. I would say it was a pretty good deal.

Sunday night Stephanie, Taylor and I went to Vintage Faith Church and then hung out in the Abbey afterwards. We got coffee, and listened to the open mic performance. The girl had a good voice, but I just enjoyed having fun with two of my best friends.
One of the songs she sang/wrote was called "Stranger in Seattle." It was about a boy she saw on the bus and fell in love with for 5 minutes. It was cute. I just really loved the 'stranger in Seattle' line.

Yesterday I came home from school and there was this giant present by the tree. I asked my mom who it was for and she told me to go look at it, so I did, and it said:

"to: Emily

from: mom & dad"

I was shocked, and still am actually. I don't remember asking for anything that was taller than I am or even close. Everything I asked for could probably fit in a shoe box or something even smaller. And so, I have no idea what in the world this present could possibly be, but now I have to look at it and wonder what's in it for the next 11 days. This is going to be a very tough week and a half.

but if anyone has ANY idea of what it could possibly be, I would love to hear what you think.

Last night I was just chillin' with the dogs in the backyard and was randomly taking pictures. This is one of them. I don't know why, but I just like the way the colors and lighting turned out.

I have spent all morning revising and finalizing the second draft of my senior exhibition paper. Now I have a headache and I never want to look at it again.
But it's a very nice today though. The sun is out, there's blue skies and fall colored leaves are falling from trees.

Finals week starts tomorrow and I'm starting to get sick. This is not good.

We bought our tree yesterday (a Noble fir, just like my cabin at camp). Now it really feels like Christmas. This is my piano ornament. I love it
